The ApOP post predates Big Sur, Monterey, and Apple Silicon Macs and does not contain a solution. If setting Finder Preferences doesn't help, I found a Sony Community forum thread where the OP was also reporting problems with connecting a MRW-E90 to a Mac's USB-C ports. It is an excellent choice for Sony G series and for Lexar USB Mark.

I don't know if XQD card readers might be doing something similar, so your first goal should be to get the XQD cards to show up as drives in the Finder. Broad compatibility: This card reader is compatible with all Windows / for Mac OS systems. I've tried all the USB-C ports and it doesn't mount as a drive on my desktop, nor will the card present files in the image capture app.Īre your Finder Preferences set to show "hard disks", "external disks", and "CDs, DVDs, and iPods" on the Desktop (General tab) and in the sidebar (Sidebar tab)? Try enabling all of those first to rule out the possibility that the XQD cards were mounting as drives, but just not showing up in the Finder GUI.Īside: CFExpress card readers connect to Macs (and PCs) in a fashion that potentially increases data transfer speed, but also makes them look like fixed hard drives (rather than memory cards) to applications like Lightroom.
